my fave band atm. they're Cdn, and as far as I know, completely unknown in Europe (though please correct me if i'm wrong on this). i saw them live in Richmond once, complete with girls throwing their bra's on stage. not me, though (do you know the price of a good bra these days!?). website: hedley
Muiden is one of my fave places in NL. it's a small town with narrow cobblestone streets and you have to cross a bridge to get to the centre, which quite often is up, so you have to wait for the boats to cross. fries (frites) are very popular here - you get them in a paper cone with a small plastic fork, loaded with mayonaise, but we've found a small place in Muiden that makes very yummy homemade fries. don't tell anyone, but i kinda actually like them with mayonaise (it's different from the stuff we have in NA) but in my mind, it's just not right!! so i stick with the ketchup. vlbf is having his "war style" (mayo, onions and peanut sauce) here. apparantly they decided some time ago that "war style" was not PC so now they call them "party style."
sunny and no wind! the weather continues to be great here. actually, almost all of september has been awesome. we've been very lucky as i've been told that this is very unusual for it to be this nice this time of year. vlbf and i went to the beach last weekend to catch the sunset.
