Thinking of You Star

i needed to make a "masculine" thinking of you card, and the awesome sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 You this week was just the perfect thing! it's just a simple card and i put it together fairly quickly (quick for me, anyway :)) and now i'm off to start dinner. thanks for looking and have a great day!

Hello Friend

woohoo! i got to participate in this week's 2 Sketches 4 You challenge! i haven't been able to the past few weeks :(. i used paper from the free "Happy Go Lucky" digital kit from Shabby Princess. i made the grunge lollipop flower and added some twine. i also roughed up all the edges quite a bit to add dimension. i think it truly turned out to be a "happy" looking card!!

wow, can't believe it's Thursday already! i haven't had as much time as i would like for creative things lately, but thankfully this is due mainly to good reasons! i've been busy with visiting relatives and friends, going to language classes 2 nights a week, and enjoying the weather which has just been incredible here, just like summer. so i really shouldn't complain :)

it's another great sketch this week over at sketches! {by tamara} i hope you play along and be sure to check out what awesome goodies the rest of the dt came up with!i think my mom will really like the butterfly on this one, especially the colour of it. i put the brackets around "mom", like a hug, did a bit of hand stiching and roughed up the edges of the paper a bit.

time for another great sketch over at Sketches! {by tamara} for you to check out this week. this is my take on it. i used colourful paper which i distressed along the edges, did some hand stitching, used a gel pen to look like stitching, and added some lacy ribbon. hope you join in with us this week, and be sure to take a look at the wonderful creations the lovey dt came up with!

Happy Easter Basket

hello! well i haven't had much time to make cards these days (or visit blogs :(!!) but i did get a chance to participate in this weeks 2 Sketches 4 You challenge. i got the idea to make an Easter basket but hope it doesn't look too much like a muffin :) ... i trimmed it a bit for that reason. and the "happy" didn't come out dark enough, even though i tried using a double layer of rubons (you can't see it, but it's there, and more so irl!). oh well, at least it's another Easter card done! thanks for stopping by, and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
